UCAA Celebrates International Aviation Week with Seniors Golf Open Tournament

samaThe Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) recently celebrated International Aviation Week with the 10th edition of the Seniors Golf Open Tournament at the Uganda Golf Club.

The event, held on December 6-7, 2025, brought together senior golfers from across the country, with UCAA Acting Director General, Olive Birungi Lumonya, officiating at the prize-giving ceremony.

Lumonya highlighted the significance of the tournament, stating, "The Seniors Open Tournament has now become one of the Authority's key annual activities in celebration of International Aviation Week." She emphasized the importance of golfers as frequent fliers and users of Entebbe International Airport's facilities and services, making them crucial stakeholders for UCAA.

The tournament attracted a competitive field, with John Paul Waigo emerging as the overall winner in the men's category with a score of 136 nett, while Edrae Kagombe took the top spot in the ladies' category with a score of 129 nett.
