Bishop Lubaale Outlines Five-Pillar Vision in Meeting with Busoga Diocese Secondary Headteachers
Bishop-Elect Grace Lubaale has met with secondary school headteachers in Busoga Diocese, laying out a five-pillar framework centred on mission, governance, capacity building, resource mobilisation, and effective representation as the foundation of his upcoming ministry.

Busoga Diocese Bishop-elect Grace Lubaale has held an interactive session with secondary school headteachers across the diocese, urging stronger collaboration and a unified approach to holistic development in education and ministry.

Addressing the headteachers, Rev Canon Lubaale outlined the five foundational pillars that will guide his episcopal leadership—mission and evangelism, good governance, capacity building, resource mobilisation, and effective representation.

He said these principles will anchor the diocese’s work and shape its engagement with schools, parishes, and communities.

“Our work as a diocese must be rooted in the core principles of mission and evangelism, good governance, capacity building, resource mobilisation, and effective representation. These pillars are not just abstract ideas; they are actionable commitments that put people and God at the centre of all we do,” he said.

The session, described as highly participatory, allowed the headteachers to explore ways of integrating the bishop-elect’s vision into school-level planning and operations.

Lubaale emphasised that lasting progress in the diocese will depend on strong partnerships between church leadership and educational institutions.

“I am confident that by working hand-in-hand with our headteachers, we can strengthen the impact of our schools, ensure good governance, and equip our young people with both academic and spiritual formation,” he said.

Headteachers welcomed the engagement, saying the bishop-elect’s priorities resonate with their own goals of delivering values-based education while improving institutional accountability and performance.

“We are encouraged by the Bishop-Elect’s clear focus on people-centered leadership. His five pillars align closely with our goals as educators, and we are ready to work together to achieve them,” one headteacher said.

The meeting marks the beginning of what diocesan leaders described as a more collaborative approach to educational oversight and spiritual development, with expectations that schools will play a central role in advancing Busoga Diocese’s mission in the years ahead.
