The strategic plan lays out a roadmap for the next five years, focusing on academic excellence, digital transformation, research growth, and student empowerment.

It includes expanded investments in infrastructure, learning technology, and industry-integrated training models that respond to the evolving needs of the global workforce.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga highlighted the philosophy driving the plan.

“The world is changing fast, and education must change faster. Talent should never wait in line behind tradition. Our job is to prepare graduates who excel because they have seen, done, and solved — not just memorized,” he said, emphasizing hands-on learning, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skill development.

Julius Bukyana, Victoria University’s Corporate and Public Relations manager, added that the university’s next five years will prioritize tech-driven education closely integrated with real-world work experiences, positioning students for success in modern industries.

In addition to the strategic plan, the university introduced the Victoria University Tribunal, a structured body aimed at enhancing accountability, fairness, and student-focused conflict resolution.

Officials said the tribunal will strengthen governance and ensure transparency and justice across the university community.

By launching both the strategic plan and the tribunal, Victoria University’s leadership reaffirmed its commitment to creating a dynamic learning environment where innovation, research, and practical skills development are central to every programme, ensuring the institution not only adapts to the future but actively shapes it.
