Uganda Prepares to Host 15th EAC Interparliamentary Games
All East African Community member states are set to participate in the 15th edition of the EAC Interparliamentary Games in Uganda, aimed at promoting regional integration and sportsmanship.

The Joint Planning Committee for the East African Community (EAC) Interparliamentary Games has confirmed full participation from all member states for the 15th edition, set to be hosted in Uganda.

The tournament will take place under the theme: “One Region, One Community, Advancing Integration through Parliament Games.”

Speaking at a press briefing at the Ugandan Parliament, Chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee, Asuman Basalirwa, expressed confidence in the success of the tournament.

“The campaigns will not deter us from defending the tournament,” he said, emphasizing the committee’s commitment to a well-organized event.

Basalirwa also revealed the venues that will host the various sports disciplines during the games.

“The pitches include Ham Stadium Nakivubo, Kadiba Stadium Mengo, Philip Omondi Stadium, Wankulukuku Stadium, Kampala Rugby Pitch, Kira Police Stadium, Kibuli SS Playground, and Nambole National Stadium,” he said.

Medical coverage for participants and officials has been planned, with facilities including Mulago National Referral Hospital, Nsambya Hospital, IHK, Aga Khan University Hospital, and Kampala Hospital set to provide healthcare services during the games.

The 15th EAC Games promise to be a dynamic event, bringing together parliamentarians and athletes from across the East African region to foster integration, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
