CFAO Mobility Uganda has announced the launch of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest for its 19th edition, marking the third national contest in Uganda.
This global initiative invites young visionaries aged 15 and under from across Uganda to unleash their creativity and envision the future of mobility through art.
Children are encouraged to draw their dream cars, sparking their imaginations and offering them a chance to showcase their ideas on the world stage.
The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, launched in 2004, invites children aged 15 and younger to freely imagine and create their own artwork depicting the mobility of the future.
Since its establishment, a total of more than 10 million entries have been received from 151 countries and regions, making it one of the largest art contests for children worldwide.
With the mission to “Produce Happiness for All”, Toyota is committed to creating a society where people can dream of a brighter future and believes in the power of creativity as the driving force.
Toyota holds this contest with the hope that children, who lead the future, will unleash their creativity and enjoy having a dream.
In the last edition (18th edition) of the contest, national contests were held in 90 countries and regions, and a total of 665,326 entries were received globally.
Uganda successfully held its second national contest between November 2024 and March 2025, attracting 271 submissions from children across the country.
From among the entries that passed the national contests and advanced to the world contest, 26 winners were selected across the three age categories (age 7 and under, age 8 to 11, age 12 to 15), as well as special awards, including the “Let’s Change the Future of Cars” Award and the “Waku-Doki Award”.
The 19th edition of the contest will once again comprise both the National Contest and the World Contest.
The national contest in Uganda is now open for submissions and the deadline for entries is Friday, February,27 2026.
The winners of the top three artworks from each category will be rewarded, crowned national champions, and entered as representatives of Uganda in the World Contest to be held in Japan, where they will have the chance to compete against dreamers from around the globe.
At the World Contest, winners from each category will walk away with USD 5,000 for themselves and USD 10,000 for their school, while the six best finalists per category will each be awarded USD 3,000.
National winners in Uganda will also receive an exciting range of prizes that include framed certificates, school fees support worth shs2 million for the winners in each category, shopping vouchers, paint and Sip Art Sessions, school bags, drawstring bags, T-shirts, and Toyota-branded key rings.
According to officials from CFAO Mobility Uganda, the rewards are designed not only to celebrate their creativity but also to encourage children to keep exploring their talents and dreams.
“Every great idea begins with a dream, and every dream begins with imagination. For children, drawing their dream car is an expression of hope and courage, a way of shaping how they see the future,” said Isaac Tegule, Marketing Manager CFAO Mobility Uganda.
“Each year with the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, we not only celebrate creativity but also invest in the next generation. We want children across Uganda to feel empowered to share their vision, to be curious about cars and mobility, and to see Toyota as a brand that listens to and values their ideas. This is how we build stronger connections with our communities while nurturing the innovative spirit that will drive the future."
The contest is open to all Ugandan children aged 15 and under, divided into three categories: Category 1 for children aged 7 years and under, Category 2 for children aged 8 to 11 years, and Category 3 for children aged 12 to 15 years.
The entry form is downloadable via www.toyota.co.ug or available at any CFAO Mobility Uganda branch and must be securely attached to hand-drawn artworks or emailed with digital works (scanned PDF) to [email protected] or hand delivered to any CFAO Mobility branches across the country, including CFAO Mobility Namanve Head Office on Plot 668, Kampala Industrial and Business Park, Kampala Branch on Plot 1A & 1B First Street, Industrial Area, Kampala, Gulu Branch on Plot 18, Goma-Kitgum Road or P.O.
