Busoga Kingdom Announces Committee for Kyabazinga's 11th Coronation Anniversary

This year's coronation will be celebrated under the theme "A free Busoga for Generations to come."

The Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, has announced a 14-member committee to organize the 11th coronation anniversary celebrations for the Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV.

The committee, chaired by Owek. Richard Mafumo and deputized by Martin Tibalira, will oversee a colorful celebration at the Kingdom Headquarters in Bugembe, Jinja City, on September 13, 2025.

The committee members and their roles are as follows:

Owek. Richard Mafumo will be the Chairperson, Jinja's City tycoon Martin Tibalira will be the Deputy Chairperson, Minister for Presidency Milly Babalanda will be the Coordinator for Central Government, Owek. Ivan Kirya in charge of Finance and Jinja City Mayor His Worship Peter Kasolo will be the Coordinator for Local Governments.

The others are Owek. Nantale Nasabu who will be responsible for Religious Affairs and Schools, Owek. Ntange Andrew will be for Protocol and Security, Owek. Samanya Ssajabi for the Secretariat and Agatha Kiyemba will be in charge of Prime Minister's Office.

Samuel Ibanda Mugabi will be in charge of the Media, Yafesi Bairukireiki in charge of Youth and Institutions, Owek. Florence Biruma will be in charge of Busoga Lukiiko, Owek. Dr. Andrew Balyeku will be in charge of Health.

This year's coronation will be celebrated under the theme "A free Busoga for Generations to come."

Dr. Muvawala emphasised the importance of this year's celebrations, saying, "We are excited to commemorate the Kyabazinga's coronation anniversary and look forward to a colourful celebration that will bring together the people of Busoga."

The committee is expected to work tirelessly to ensure that the celebrations are a success, with various activities planned to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Busoga Kingdom.
