The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje has condemned what it terms the genocidal acts committed by the State of Israel in the Gaza Strip, accusing it of deliberately targeting civilians through mass killings, starvation, and indiscriminate bombings.

Addressing journalists after a weekly National Management Committee meeting at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) headquarters in Old Kampala, Mubaje described Israel’s actions as driven by a "dangerous Zionist ideology" that seeks the total destruction of lives and property in occupied Palestine.

“These actions do not spare even children, women, the elderly, or the disabled. The world is witnessing an unprecedented massacre of innocent civilians,” said Mubaje.

He revealed that during a recent executive meeting of the World Council of Religious Leaders which included Jewish Rabbis a resolution was unanimously passed condemning Israel’s ongoing campaign in Gaza.
