Mubarak Munyagwa is set to launch the Common Man's Party, a rebranded version of the Uganda Economic Party. Munyagwa, who will serve as the party's President General, is to unveiled the new party at Jacaranda today.

The launch of the Common Man's Party comes at a time when Uganda is gearing up for the 2026 general elections, scheduled to take place in January. With many new political parties emerging in recent months, the competition for power is expected to be fierce
