The State Minister of Industry, David Bahati, has announced that Rubanda District is set to host a new iron ore factory—a development expected to significantly boost the local economy.
The factory will not only create employment opportunities for the residents of Rubanda but also contribute to the country’s overall economic growth.
The establishment of the iron ore factory is a welcome move for the people of Rubanda, who have been facing economic challenges for a long time.
The factory is expected to increase the district’s revenue and provide a stable source of income for its residents. Moreover, it will attract investors and stimulate economic activity in the region.
Minister Bahati revealed that the government is working hard to ensure the factory is established in Rubanda District, noting that the area is rich in iron ore deposits. He added that the government made a commitment to ensure the factory is set up in the district.
“We shall ensure, like we promised, that the iron ore factory is established in Rubanda District,” Minister Bahati stated.
He further emphasised that the factory’s establishment is part of the government’s commitment to promoting economic development in both the region and the country at large.
“The government has been working tirelessly to create a conducive environment for investors and to promote industrialisation. At the Ministry of Industrialisation, where I sit, we work hard to boost the country’s economy, and we contribute 27.2%,” Minister Bahati added.
He also applauded the State Minister of Finance, Henry Musasizi, noting that he and the Rubanda District leadership have worked hard to ensure the district’s development.
The government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, imposed a ban on the exportation of iron ore, which had significantly affected the mining sector. The establishment of the factory is, therefore, seen as a major step toward a brighter future for Rubanda District.
With the factory in place, the district is poised to experience rapid economic growth and development. The people of Rubanda are optimistic about the benefits it will bring and are eagerly awaiting its completion.
