Birthday boy Otile wins 2018 Uganda Amateur Golf Open.

South African based Amateur golfer Ronald Otile gave him self the perfect 22nd birthday present on Saturday as he shot 285 gross after day four to lift his third Amateur title in four years.

Otile beat kenya's duo of Edwin Mudanyi and John Karichu who were chasing closely from day one at the par 71 course in Entebbe.

A stroke is what the Tuks University student needed to win the 72-hole competition ahead of his Kenyan adversaries.

Playing off handicap one, Otile carded four under 67 on day one, two over 73 the next day, levelled the 71 par course on day three before wrapping up his iconic performance with a three over 74, sealed with a neat putt on the 18th hole to send the gallery into frenzy.

The Toro golf club member won the title in 2015 and 2016 and came second in 2017 behind Ronald Rugumayo who joined the professional ranks earlier this year.
