The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has paid a visit to hospitalized Mityana municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake at Rubaga Hospital.
The hospitalised legislator appeared to be in excruciating pain and had a lot of difficulty answering the concerned speaker's questions about his health. At some point during the interface witnessed by the press, Zaake broke down into tears.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Oulanyah expressed concern at the violence meted out on the legislators. He said he was deeply concerned for the security of the country with the increasing levels of violence mere byelections have attracted.
Oulanyah had started his morning by paying a visit to detained Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine). Kyagulanyi is held at Makindye Military Barracks. Press were denied access to Makindye military barracks.
Oulanyah said that though MP Kyagulanyi was in a lot of pain, he managed to crack a few jokes with the deputy speaker.
