More Demonstrations break out in Kamwokya over Bobi Wine Detention

Protests have broken out Kamwokya for the second day in a row over the detention of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi.

Kyagulanyi, better known by his music moniker Bobi Wine was yesterday charged in Gulu army court for illegal possession of fire arms and ammunition.

Bobi Wine's studios are located down the road from where the demonstrations have started.

The Uganda Police Force is presently engaged in trying to clear old Kiira Road in Kamwokya. Demonstrators have piled tree branches and disused tires in the road and set them alight.
