God told Gen Muhoozi he will be President in 2026, then changed his mind- Minister
Balaam said he is a member of the NRM and a Musevenist as well as an all-round supporter and believer in Gen Muhoozi.
The Minister of State for Youth, Balaam Barugahara has explained Gen Muhoozi’s decision not to stand in the 2026 elections, citing it as a resolution from a meeting the Army Commander had with God.
Gen Muhoozi, the head of the PLU body, to which Balaam subscribes, over the weekend tweeted a decision to withdraw his candidature from the forthcoming elections, throwing his weight behind President Museveni.
Balaam now claims the change in decision was a revelation from God, who also had initially told him to prepare to take over the mantle of leading Uganda by 2026.
“Visions keep changing and appearing. God had initially told Gen Muhoozi that he will be President in 2026,” Balaam said.
He explains further that God developed complications when he consulted Gen Museveni and asked him to name Gen Muhoozi as the head of the army, and charged him with transforming the forces.
“God realised that Gen Muhoozi now has a new role, to save the army and transform the forces, so now God is telling him to train the army to the level of the Israeli national army, that is where the focus is,” he explained.
Balaam said he is a member of the NRM and a Musevenist as well as an all-round supporter and believer in Gen Muhoozi.
“I believe in Gen Muhoozi as a standby generator, but the power is still strong and there no load-shedding, there is no need for wasting our fuel now,” he added.
