The Ugandan Embassy in Beijing and the Ugandan Consulate General in Guangzhou showcased Uganda's captivating tourism potential at the prestigious China International Tourism Industry Expo (CITIE) 2024, held in Guangzhou from September 13-15.
CITIE, China's largest comprehensive international tourism expo, attracted over 43,000 visitors from around the world. Uganda's vibrant booth highlighted the country's rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife, stunning natural landscapes, and world-renowned coffee.
The Ugandan Consulate General in Guangzhou was honoured with the Best Organizer award at the closing ceremony, recognizing its exceptional efforts in promoting Uganda's tourism industry and fostering international partnerships.
Consul General Nsababera expressed her delight at the recognition, stating, "This accolade underscores our commitment to excellence and our role in positioning Uganda as a premier destination for travellers and investors."
As a testament to Uganda's growing tourism appeal, the Consulate was invited to co-organize next year's CITIE Expo. This opportunity will further elevate Uganda's visibility on the global tourism stage.
