With a new Saudi ambassador stepping into his role in Kampala, there's a sense of renewed optimism and potential for deeper ties between Saudi Arabia and Uganda.

Ambassador Mohammed Bin Khalil Faloudah brings a wealth of diplomatic experience, having served in various capacities within Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The warm welcome extended to Ambassador Faloudah reflects Uganda's eagerness to strengthen social, economic, cultural, and diplomatic relations.

The recent completion and occupation of the Saudi Embassy in Kampala underscore Saudi Arabia's commitment to a long-term partnership with Uganda.

This commitment is further demonstrated through substantial investments, totaling nearly US$100 million, in key sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and energy.

Additionally, the bilateral labor agreement signed in 2014 has facilitated the movement of Ugandan workers to Saudi Arabia, with 150,000 Ugandans now contributing to various sectors there.

Both countries' development frameworks align with global agendas like the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has been instrumental in transforming its infrastructure and fostering economic and human development, while Uganda's Vision 2040 serves as a roadmap for its own socio-economic progress.

Beyond government initiatives, private Saudi individuals have also played a significant role in supporting charitable and religious projects in Uganda, including the construction of mosques, schools, healthcare facilities, and providing essential services to vulnerable communities.

In essence, Ambassador Faloudah's arrival marks a new chapter in the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Uganda, one characterized by mutual respect, friendship, and a shared commitment to excellence and development.

Salam TV was there to document his journey and pledged to continue as he officially kicks off in his new role.
