“In Ntwetwe hospital, 10 students were taken there, 16 taken to Kiboga hospital while four were taken to Hoima regional referral hospital depending on the conditions they were in,” Waibi said.

The Kyankwanzi police commander further cautioned schools to be extremely careful especially those that use trucks to transport students to either sports activities or tours, to ensure that their vehicles and drivers are in stable conditions.

“So, we caution schools be careful, before you handover those students to the driver, is he in a good state to drive, how about the vehicle check it’s mechanical state first, because remember he is going to carry people’s daughters and sons who expect them to return home safe, not dead or injured,” Waibi cautioned.
