Abiriga murder: Betty Nambooze arrested

Police in Kampala are currently detaining Mukono Municipality member of parliament, Betty Nambooze Bakireke over statements she made on social media in regards to the murder of Arua Municipality MP, Ibrahim Abiriga.

Police first camped at her home in Mukono before they arrested her and drove her to Jinja Road Police station where she is currently being kept.

According to police authorities, Nambooze is being interrogated and will later be allowed access to her lawyers who include; Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Medard Sseggona, and Kasibante Moses
