A report from the Human Rights Committee of Parliament has found Brian Kirumira alias Brian White guilty of sexually harassing his female employees.
According to Agnes Taaka, the Vice Chairperson of the Committee, investigations into claims that Bryan White sexually harassed girls at his now defunct Brian White Foundation were completed and they are now waiting for a day they will present the findings on the floor of Parliament.
Speaking to NBS Uncut, Taaka said that they found out that it was not just one, but several cases of sexual harassment. They now what the harassed girls to get justice.
"We finished the report and it is already on the order paper. We are waiting for a day they will give us so that we read it out to the public. We found out that the cases were actually very many," Taaka said.
Taaka said that witnesses from White's defunct NGO told the committee that during the lockdown alone, they had experienced several cases of harassment.
Taaka said that their report however puts it clear that they were not able to talk to Bryan White because at the time, he was "very ill" and not able to meet them.
"But this did not stop us. We went ahead to do the report and what we ask Parliament now, is that police should go ahead with this case so that other people can learn from it," Taaka said.
White's woes started in May last year when a number of girls came out, accusing him of sexually harassing them while working at his charity foundation.
The accusations attracted the attention of Parliament when Bugabula South MP Maurice Kibalya told the House that he was concerned by the videos and audios of these girls.
Speaker Rebecca Kadaga tasked the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee to investigate the reports that had emerged and make a report which is now complete.
White has been out of the public eye since the accusations came out. Last year, he was down with a strange illness during the time of the investigations.
