A security guard attached to Rock Security Services on Wednesday shot self to death over unknown reasons.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, the security officer identified as Charles Okene was guarding together with his other colleague at Atlantis Elegance apartment located on plot 3 Kimera close in Ntinda.
“It is
alleged he shot him self on the neck and the bullet got out from the top
of the head blowing off his skull,” Owoyesigyire said.
“Reason
of suicide not known, scene visited by socco and all necessary
formalities done. Body transported to mulago for Postmortem on Ntinda: SD
37/25/12/2018 of Ntinda police station,” he added.
In
November, Geofrey
Ogwang, a basketball player with the UPDF team was shot dead by a private
security guard following an arguement at a fuel pump n Mbuya.
Later that month A security guard attached to Securex Company Limited accidentally
shot Wilbert Muhereza, a lawyer working with Owoyesigyire and Company Advocates
at Access building along Lubaga road in Kampala.
