The Uganda Driver Licensing System (UDLS) has announced the return of its mobile enrolment services, aimed at making the process of acquiring driving licences more accessible across the country.
The first stop for 2026 is Masaka City, where mobile enrollment will run from 2nd to 13th February at Ssaza Grounds, Lukiiko Hall, operating daily from 8 AM to 5 PM.
After Masaka, the initiative will continue to other districts according to the following schedule:
Mubende: 2nd – 6th March
Hoima: 9th – 13th March
Soroti: 13th – 17th April
Lira: 20th – 24th April
Luweero: 11th – 15th May
Masindi: 18th – 22nd May
Kasese: 15th – 19th June
Bushenyi: 22nd – 26th June
This initiative comes with a significant reduction in the fee for acquiring a Boda Boda licence, making it easier for motorcycle operators to formalise their driving credentials.
UDLS has emphasised that to benefit from this offer, participants must enroll in a driving school in advance. This step ensures that applicants receive the necessary training before applying for their licence.
With mobile enrolment, UDLS aims to bring licensing services closer to the people, reducing travel time and waiting periods for applicants while promoting safe and legal riding practices across the country.
Motorcycle riders in Masaka are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their enrollment within the scheduled period.
