In a bid to promote deeper biblical understanding and unity among Christian communities, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus has announced an open Bible test focused on the Book of Revelation, to be held on September 20, 2025.

The initiative, which has already attracted over 300 pastors, aims to encourage reflection, dialogue, and accurate scriptural interpretation of one of the Bible’s most profound and often misunderstood texts.

According to church representatives, the test is not a competition but a call to study, share, and uphold the integrity of the Word of God—specifically Revelation, a book central to Christian doctrine and, as emphasized by the Church, “crucial for salvation.”

“Revelation 22:18–19 gives a clear warning against adding to or taking away from this prophecy,” a spokesperson stated. “We must keep and obey what is written in order to receive God’s promised blessings.”

The church highlighted Revelation 1:3, which reads: “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it.” This verse, they noted, underscores the importance of a faithful and diligent approach to scripture.

The upcoming test is intended to serve as a platform for unity and shared understanding among Christians. Following the test, participants will engage in a reflection and discussion session, fostering open dialogue and deeper theological insight.

“This event is about coming together—not to debate, but to learn, grow, and stand united in Christ,” organizers said. “It is an opportunity to realign our focus on the written Word, without interpretation biases, and to uphold the truth of God’s prophecy.”
