Bukedi South Regional Police spokesperson, IP Moses Mugwe said the operation was carried out between 9pm and 10pm, targeting suspected gang hideouts in poorly lit areas.

Police investigations indicate that the suspects would reportedly gather in these dark spots, consume narcotic substances and plan criminal activities before dispersing into different parts of the municipality to execute their missions.
