Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Recognised as Top Employer for 2026

Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU), a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), has been recognised as a Top Employer for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in people management and workplace culture.

The recognition, announced on January 21, 2026, in Namanve, places CCBU among seven CCBA operations certified across the continent. CCBA has also earned regional Top Employer certification in Africa for the second consecutive year.

In addition to Uganda, CCBA’s operations in Ethiopia, South Africa and Tanzania were certified at country level for 2026, with all showing improved performance compared to the previous year. Botswana, Kenya and Mozambique achieved certification for the first time, expanding CCBA’s footprint among Africa’s leading employers.

The Top Employers Institute operates in 125 countries and regions and is regarded as a global authority in human resource certification, benchmarking and advisory services. Its certification is based on a comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey that evaluates organisations across six key domains: People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Wellbeing.

Emmy Hashakimana, Managing Director of Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda, said the recognition reflects the company’s strong focus on employee development and an inclusive workplace culture.

“This certification demonstrates our commitment to professional growth for our people, providing an exciting journey of learning and development within a passionate and caring team,” Hashakimana said.

He added that CCBU’s success is driven by its people-centered approach, which combines business growth with positive community impact.
