Ruparelia Foundation donates items to children's ward at Mulago Hospital

The Ruparelia Foundation yesterday donated 240 hampers and different items to children at the paediatric ward in Mulago hospital to facilitate their wellbeing.

Other items donated by different companies include, UHT, flavoured milk, colouring books pencils, toilet paper, biscuits, juice, apples, sugar and tea.

According to Naiya Ruparelia, a trustee of the Ruparelia Foundation, the activity was done to basically put a smile and bring hope on the faces of the children.

“It was good seeing these suffering children smile,” Naiya said after visiting the ward adding that "They are very strong children, it’s amazing and some are really strongly fighting for their lives,”

“We admire their strength and hope that they get well soon. We will do this quarterly but we hope to eventually have it become a monthly activity with sponsorship from more people,” Naiya said

The Ruparelia Foundation is the charity arm of the Ruparelia Group and they have made several donations towards healthcare, education, sports causes, wildlife conservation and more since it was founded in 2011
