The managing director of National Water and Sewerage Corporation Eng Dr Silver Mugisha has asked what caused unions to be considerate of the different organisation they represent, they will land them into losses.

Silver was speaking at the regional evaluation of the different stations in western Uganda.

According to Mugisha, most union leaders fail to recognise the significance of all the are the stakeholders and only want to cater for the interests of the workers.

Mugisha said despite the selfishness portrayed by the unions, NWSC has put in place a provident fund to ensure that staff are catered for better.

Mugisha was speaking in Bushenyi at the bi-annual evaluation of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) stations in the western region.

While Mbarara, Bushenyi, Lyantonde and Kanungu water services were ranked best in the region, Ntungamo, Lwengo and Kamwenge services were said to be very wanting.

Nevertheless, the region had made strategic strides.

Mugisha said there are people working hard to sabotage their services.
