Secondary schools across the Buganda Kingdom have officially presents results of the 2025 Senior Six national examinations, revealing strong academic performance across institutions and highlighting that female students outperformed their male counterparts.

The results were presented on Tuesday by three schools—Bbowa Vocational Secondary School, Lubiri High School Mengo Campus, and Lubiri High School Buloba Campus—to the Buganda Kingdom Minister for Social Services (Education, Health) and the Office of the Nnaabagereka, Choltilda Nakate Kikomeko.

At Lubiri High School Mengo Campus, Headteacher Nampijja Immaculate reported that out of 113 candidates, one student achieved the top score of 20 points in PCM/ICT, with several others following closely with 19 points and below.

She also noted that students supported under the Kabaka’s education fund were among the top performers.

At Lubiri High School Buloba Campus, Headteacher Ssebina Charles highlighted strong performance in science subjects, with the top student scoring 19 points. He further revealed that the school ranked fourth in Agriculture across Wakiso District, marking a significant achievement.

Meanwhile, at Bbowa Vocational Secondary School in Bulemeezi, Deputy Headteacher Ssekasamba Steven reported that of the 18 candidates who sat for the exams, the highest scorer attained 19 points in science subjects, while the lowest scored 9 points—still qualifying for university admission.

He emphasized that female students outnumbered and outperformed male students at the school, expressing optimism about encouraging greater academic effort among boys.

While receiving the results, Minister Nakate commended the school leaders for their dedication to nurturing students and urged them to maintain high standards.

She also praised the Kabaka for supporting students through the Kabaka Education Fund, noting that it has helped many learners remain in school and complete their studies.

The Chairperson of the Board at Lubiri High School Buloba Campus, Amos Gitta, observed that the Kingdom’s schools have shown continuous improvement compared to previous years and reaffirmed their commitment to raising academic standards further.

“The Kingdom’s schools have steadily improved in academic performance compared to previous years, and we remain committed to elevating standards in line with the dignity of the Kingdom,” he said.
