Investing in Sanitation is Investing in Our Children's Future – Minister Mutasingwa

In a significant step towards improving sanitation and hygiene in schools, State Minister in the Office of the Vice-President, Diana Mutasingwa, commissioned new amenities at Lweru Secondary School in Buikwe District.

The amenities, including a teachers' quarter and sanitation facilities, were funded and implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment.

"Proper facilities like these help prevent disease, keep our children in school, and improve their overall well-being," Mutasingwa said.

She emphasized the importance of investing in improved sanitation, noting that it is essential for achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), which aims to ensure clean water and sanitation for all.
