The Uganda Advertising Association (UAA), in collaboration with Loeries and the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS), has announced the 3rd edition of the Silverback Awards, scheduled for November 23, 2024.

This year’s event, themed “Innovative Sustainable Marketing: Harnessing Ethics, Impact, and Profitability in the Digital Age,” aims to highlight the importance of ethical advertising and marketing practices.

Rommel Jasi, Chairman of UAA, emphasized the need for industry-wide self-regulation to protect against unethical practices and enhance global competitiveness.

“We are thrilled to host this edition under a theme that underscores the balance between innovation, sustainability, and ethical responsibility,” Jasi stated.

UMS President Charity Winnie Kamusiime-Asiimwe urged marketers to engage in professional development to meet global standards and improve industry practices.

“Programs and training opportunities are crucial for aligning with international benchmarks and enhancing our professional capabilities,” she said.

The Silverback Awards will be preceded by an Industry Symposium on November 22, 2024, offering professionals a platform to discuss ethical marketing and industry trends.

Early Bird Submission Deadline: September 6, 2024

Late Submission Deadline: October 4, 2024

Industry Symposium: November 22, 2024
