Sheikh Salim Bbosa, the Deputy Director of Sharia at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC), has once again delivered a compelling message to the Muslim community, this time emphasizing the importance of earning a lawful (halal) income. His teachings, delivered during his widely followed weekly Darasa at Masjid Aldina, Namayiba Bus Terminal, are brought to the public through Salam TV, Uganda’s leading Islamic television station.
During his recent lecture, Sheikh Bbosa delineated essential spiritual practices that invoke Rizik (provision) from Allah. These include the night prayer (Qiyam Lail), consistent recitation of morning and evening Athkar (supplications), regular charity (Swadaqah), and constant Istighfar (seeking forgiveness). With conviction, he reminded Muslims to place complete trust in Allah as the sole provider.
“A Muslim should have faith that Allah is the provider, understand that wealth and poverty are both divine tests, and resist the temptation to pursue unlawful means of livelihood,” Sheikh Bbosa said.
Thanks to Salam TV, these profound teachings are accessible to millions of viewers across Uganda and beyond. The station, founded in 2015, is the only Islamic television network in the country, dedicated to promoting values-driven, spiritually enriching, and culturally relevant content. Viewers can tune in on GoTV Channel 392, Startimes Channel 293, and via the Afro Mobile app. Salam TV Uganda also features Shk. Bbosa's lectures on its Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp platforms.
Through consistent coverage of such lectures, Salam TV continues to be a powerful platform connecting Ugandan Muslims with authentic Islamic knowledge and lifestyle guidance, amplifying voices like Shk. Bbosa’s for spiritual and societal growth.
