DStv Uganda Named Brand of the Year at G.O.A.T Marketers’ Awards

DStv Uganda has been crowned Brand of the Year at the prestigious G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time) Marketers’ Awards, held during the 8th edition of the Marketers’ Fireplace hosted by the Uganda Marketers’ Society at Hotel Africana


The accolade — voted for by members of Uganda’s marketing fraternity — recognizes DStv Uganda’s exceptional creativity, dynamism, and customer engagement in shaping Uganda’s entertainment landscape.


The G.O.A.T Marketers’ Awards celebrate brands and professionals who demonstrate outstanding strategic thinking, innovation, and execution in branding, marketing, and communication.


Over the past year, DStv Uganda has launched several impactful campaigns, including the Ka Weekie weekly subscription campaign, as well as flagship initiatives such as Step Up and the New Football Season. The brand also championed high-impact local productions like Kampala Crème, Super Sunday, and Damalie — reinforcing its position as Uganda’s leading entertainment provider.


These campaigns have significantly boosted customer engagement, made premium entertainment more accessible to Ugandans, and strengthened DStv’s brand presence in households across the country.


Adding to the celebration, Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, was named Marketer of the Year — an acknowledgment of his visionary leadership and innovative approach to consumer-focused marketing.
