On a bright Saturday afternoon in Mukono, Sanyuka TV reminded the nation once again that its tenth anniversary isn’t just a celebration of years gone by, but also a celebration of people, places, and the stories that have made it one of Uganda’s most beloved TV stations.
Held at Summer Gardens, Mukono, the latest leg of the #SanyukaAt10 tour unfolded like a homecoming - warm, vibrant, and deeply rooted in community.
From the first beat of music to the last selfie taken, the event was connection in motion.
As has become tradition on this anniversary journey, the celebration brought thousands of people together, from families, young fans, local creatives, and longtime viewers, all eager to share in the moment and reflect on what Sanyuka means to them.

A highlight of the day was the Owakabi Talent Search, where various major artistes, along with Mukono’s own, dazzled the crowd with performances that ranged from dance to spoken word, showcasing the raw, untamed creativity that lives far beyond Uganda’s capital.
Every cheer, every round of applause felt like an affirmation that this is talent that deserves to be seen.
Sanyuka TV presenters, including Kalela and Sandra Lian to Brians Makona and Wako, Immy Candace, Ssenga Nantume, among others, didn’t stay on the sidelines either.
They danced, they engaged in lively football challenges with the locals, and they brought their signature humour and energy to the stage, making the audience feel less like spectators and more like family.

And while the faces on screen were familiar, the event’s success was also thanks to the people behind the scenes.
Sanyuka’s ability to host celebrations of this scale wouldn’t be possible without committed partners like MTN Uganda, MTN MoMo, Numida, Sumz Snacks, Ride Now Uganda, ZTE Nubia, and the Linnya Step Campaign, all of whom are walking the journey with the station and its viewers.
Their contributions brought life to the day, from accessibility and connectivity, to lighthearted giveaways and meaningful community engagement.
This latest activation in Mukono continues to prove a simple truth: Sanyuka TV is not just a media house centered around the capital.
It’s a national stage, grounded in Ugandan values and uplifted by Ugandan people, from Kaliro to Mukono and more to come.
Ten years on, Sanyuka TV’s story isn’t just about how far it’s come, but also about how wide it’s reached. And in Mukono, that reach felt personal.
