This year's UCE examinations are particularly significant as they mark the inaugural assessment under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC).
A total of 379,748 candidates sat for the exams, with 369,601 being pioneers of the new curriculum and 10,147 taking the transitional examination aligned with the old curriculum.
The release was initially scheduled for February 7 but was postponed due to adjustments in the Minister's official commitments.
UNEB's chairman Prof. Celestino Obua, and Executive Director Dan Odongo briefed the minister on the examination results during a meeting at State House.
The theme for the 2024 UNEB examinations, "Embracing Security and Holistic Assessment of Learners in a Dynamic Environment," underscores the board's commitment to evolving educational assessments and maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
