The Truth Behind the Image

A reverse image search using Google Lens confirms that the photo was taken on December 21, 2022 and was first shared by Winnie Byanyima on her verified X account. In her post, Byanyima clarified the context of the photo, stating:

"This pic was taken last year when I bumped into the DPP at the EBB [Entebbe] airport VIP lounge."

Furthermore, Byanyima has categorically dismissed the claim linking her meeting with Justice Abodo to Dr. Besigye's case, labeling it as fake news.

Verdict: MISLEADING

The photo has been shared out of context. It was taken during a chance encounter at Entebbe Airport in December 2022 between Winnie Byanyima and the DPP Justice Frances Abodo and is unrelated to any recent events or legal discussions involving Dr. Kizza Besigye.
