Police arrest armed hawker in Nakaseke
The police of Nakaseke district have in custody a man who was arrested while brandishing a gun in a trading centre.
The suspect in detention is identified as Yusuf Akhram, a bag vendor at Mukwano Arcade in Kampala city, a resident of Rubaga road.

According to police, the arrest followed a tip off from a vigilant local resident.
"On Friday at around 11am, Semuto police station in Nakaseke district received a distress phone call from a one Fiona Nakitende of Lukumbi village Segalye Parish Semuto subcounty in Nakaseke district that someone is moving with a gun in their area," said Sam Twineamazima, the police spokesperson for Savannah region.
He said that the police responded immediately and arrested the man with his gun number PSO 4000390-11007 with 3 rounds of ammunition.
Reports indicate that the got the gun on June 25 from a one Joel who is his workmate at Mukwano arcade in kampala but police is yet to establish why it was given to him.
Twineamazima said that the suspect will be transferred to Kampala for further investigations.
