Uganda’s business community has received a boost following the official launch of the BNI Uganda Winners Grand Chapter, an initiative aimed at connecting entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders through structured networking and referral-based growth.

The launch brought together business owners from various sectors, corporate executives and professionals who gathered to mark the establishment of the new chapter and explore opportunities for collaboration within Uganda’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Business Network International (BNI), the world’s largest business referral organisation, operates on the principle of “Givers Gain”, which encourages members to support each other by sharing business opportunities, referrals and professional expertise.

Through the Winners Grand Chapter, BNI Uganda seeks to provide a platform where local businesses can expand their networks, access new markets and connect with entrepreneurs beyond Uganda through BNI’s global network.

Speaking during the launch, BNI leaders highlighted the growing importance of business networking in driving growth, particularly in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

They said the new chapter will enable entrepreneurs to build trusted relationships that can lead to quality referrals, strategic partnerships and sustainable business opportunities.

Members of the Winners Grand Chapter will participate in structured weekly networking meetings where they can showcase their products and services to fellow professionals. Organisers said the model is designed to increase business visibility while creating opportunities for members to acquire new clients through trusted recommendations.

Beyond referrals, members will also benefit from professional development programmes, including training sessions, workshops and mentorship opportunities focused on improving leadership, sales strategies, networking skills and business management practices.

Organisers said the chapter will also provide a collaborative environment where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas, share experiences and work together to address common business challenges.

The launch comes at a time when Uganda’s private sector continues to seek innovative approaches to expand enterprises, create employment opportunities and contribute to economic growth.

By bringing together businesses from different industries, BNI Uganda aims to promote collaboration, strengthen entrepreneurship and help local enterprises compete more effectively in regional and international markets.

Business leaders at the launch expressed optimism that the Winners Grand Chapter will become a platform for innovation, investment and sustainable business growth.

The establishment of the chapter marks the continued expansion of BNI’s presence in Uganda and reflects a growing focus on building stronger business networks based on collaboration, trust and shared success.
