Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Uganda has been recognized as a standout performer in the financial sector, earning the first runner-up award for best in client service at the 8th Bi-annual Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Bankers appreciation conference ..

The ceremony, hosted at the Mestil Hotel in Kampala, brought together industry leaders and policymakers to celebrate financial institutions demonstrating excellence in tax collection and customer service. DTB Uganda was commended for its operational efficiency in resolving customer concerns and facilitating seamless government revenue collections.

According to officials,  the recognition highlights the bank’s continued commitment to delivering accessible, responsive financial solutions that simplify tax compliance for Ugandans.

The conference was held under the theme “Financial Institutions as a Catalyst to Scaling Enterprise Productivity and Tax Base Expansion: A Pathway to 10-Fold Economic Growth"

Speaking during the conference, DTB Managing Director, Mr. Godfrey Sebaana, emphasized the importance of collective action in driving Uganda’s economic progress.

“Financial institutions in Uganda are capable of taking us where we aspire to go. Walking alone will only take us so far, but together, we can achieve much more,” Sebaana noted.

“It requires a unified effort from all stakeholders—policymakers, customers, regulators, and financial institutions—to remain focused on the shared goal. If we do this, Uganda has the potential to become one of the best places in the world to live.”
