Offshore Alkaline Vodka, an Australian-produced premium spirit, will be officially launched in Uganda on December 13, 2025, through Pearl Liquors Uganda Ltd., marking its entry into the African market.
The vodka is produced using a patented process that blends distilled wheat vodka with alkaline mineral water, resulting in a smoother, cleaner finish.
The product targets the growing “better-for-you” alcoholic drinks segment, which has gained traction among health-conscious consumers aged 25 to 45.
Pearl Liquors Chief Executive Stuart Raymond Kasule, a Ugandan who previously lived in Australia, spearheaded the brand’s entry into Uganda.
Kasule secured exclusive African rights to import and distribute Offshore Vodka, making Uganda the continent’s entry point for the premium spirit.
His initiative aligns with government efforts to encourage diaspora Ugandans to return with skills and international partnerships that support private-sector growth.
Offshore Vodka is manufactured in Australia using five-times distilled wheat vodka combined with alkaline water rated between pH 8.5 and 9.5.
According to the producers, this process enhances smoothness compared to standard vodkas.
The launch comes amid global expansion of the premium spirits market and the growth of Uganda’s luxury hospitality sector.
Pearl Liquors plans to use Uganda as a base for regional distribution as demand for high-end beverages rises across East Africa.
Industry analysts note that Uganda’s demographics, geographic location, and burgeoning hospitality industry make it an attractive market for new premium entrants.
The official launch is expected to attract distributors, hotel operators, and bar owners keen to stock innovative high-end products ahead of the festive season.
