In a move to take control of their financial futures, Uganda Management Institute (UMI) alumni have established their own SACCO, UMI Elite SACCO, built on three pillars: Wealth, Welfare, and Growth.

The new financial institution was launched at Hotel Africana in Kampala, with Dunstan Kisule as the guest speaker.

The SACCO's leadership was also elected during the event, with Prof. Dr. Levi Musinguzi B, Achiro Jacqueline, and Dissan Ssentumbwe forming the Vetting Committee. Henry Owora, Asekenye Catherine, and Niwamanya Mudasiri were elected to the Supervisory Board

Mivule Ronald Musoke has been elected as the Chairperson of the Board, with Nyabwolo Zitta N as Vice Chairperson, Ochola Immaculate as Treasurer, and Lumumba Patrick as Secretary.

Francis Ikanga Muwanguzi, Ronald Ochoo, Fred Wangara O, Byarugaba Elizabeth, and Susan Najjumba were also elected as Committee Members.

With their own SACCO, UMI alumni are poised to promote financial stability and growth among themselves.

Mivule, the elected Board Chairperson said that he is committed to leading the SACCO towards achieving its objectives and promoting the financial well-being of its members.

The inauguration of UMI Elite SACCO is a significant achievement for the alumni association, demonstrating their commitment to financial inclusion and empowerment.

With a strong governance structure in place, the SACCO is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of its members.
