NTV journalist Edward Muhumuza has died in a car accident this morning.
Muhumuza 32, died from a single fatal accident along Kampala-Express highway at Mpala opposite Mpala road toll at around 8:20am on Saturday as he was rushing to work.
He was driving his motor vehicle registration number UBG 323S (Passo).
In a statement by the directorate of traffic about the accident, It's alleged he lost control of his vehicle and went off the a road, knocked sign post and overturned several times, killing him on spot.
“The cause of the accident has been attributed to over speeding. However, more Inquiries are still at hand,” said Faridah Nampiima, the Trafic police spokesperson.
His body has been conveyed to City Mortuary for postmortem examination.
Muhumuza had been a journalist at NTV where he joined after leaving Urban TV.
