Next Radio announces mega relaunch

Uganda's pioneer audio-visual radio station, Next Radio has announced that it is ready for the relaunch of the station following the suspension of its normal programming.

Next Radio, on Sunday, March 13, 2022, suspended all normal programming to realign in light of new industry realities and the need to remain competitive in the market.

In a statement, the management said since then, "they have retreated, refocused and strategised on their future, re-deployed some of our talents, and brought some new faces on board."

"Next Radio is now ready to return to the airwaves on Monday, March 28, 2022, starting at 6:00 AM East African Time," management noted in a statement seen by the Nile Post.

According to the management, the station will be available to watch and/ or listen to via 106.1 FM, the Afro Mobileapp, StarTimes Channel 243, and DStv Channel 898.

Next Radio is Uganda's first-ever audio-visual radio station, under Next Media Services. The station was launched in October 2018 and has been Uganda's fastest-growing English radio station over its first three years of existence.
