Denied by NUP, Dembe FM presenter Djacob Omutuuze proceeds on independent ticket (Video)
Dembe FM presenter Jacob Akuguzibwe alias Djacobs Omutuuze has decided to contest as n independent candidate for Council Chairperson of Bunamwaya Division, in Wakiso District.
This comes after the self-proclaimed celebrity fell out with Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP) whom he accuses of selfishness after they denied him a ticket.

Omutuuze yesterday presented himself for nominations for the National EC and chose a symbol of a watch.
“I wanted to pick a radio as my symbol since I am a radio presenter, but now chosen a watch,” he said.
He claimed he is still a member of NUP but he has been criticized ever since he joined.
“There is a lot of rope pulling, ever since I joined NUP, people in the party have been treating me like a spy, so I decided to choose my other peaceful means aside from the chaos,” Omutuuze said.
