"The situation cannot be different during these scientific elections and the party has undertaken to facilitate them with the airtime for the campaigns,” said Dombo.

While releasing the revised roadmap, the Electoral Commission (EC) informed the country that during the 2021 general elections, candidates will not be allowed to hold open air mass campaigns due to the Covid-29 pandemic.

Dombo said this is why the party will be buying airtime to promote not only their presidential candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni but also other flag bearers at different levels.

He said the party is negotiating with media houses on the matter to find out the costs and how things will be run to ensure a win for the party at all elective positions.

"We are getting proposals. We want to negotiate a fair deal to benefit us and the media houses since we are going to work together,” Dombo said.
