UPL: Nunda on song as KCCA FC rally from behind to beat Police

Jackson Nunda produced a man of the match performance as defending champions, KCCA FC  came from behind to beat Police FC 3-2  in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

On two occasions, the Kasasiro boys trailed the law enforcement officers and on both occasions, it was Nunda who leveled matters for the home side.

Police took the lead in the 14th minute, thanks to Ben Ocen but the lead was canceled by a Nunda beauty, four minutes later to ensure parity.

However, the law enforcement officers didn’t stop at that when three minutes later, they restored their lead, thanks to Pius Kaggwa to ensure Police FC was in the driving seat at the end of the first stanza.

On his day, Nunda continued doing the job for KCCA FC when he against saved them with another equalizer off an Erisa Ssekisambu service to complete his brace.

In the 78th minute, Ssekisambu nodded home the third goal for the Kasasiro boys at Lugogo and it ensured the bagged all the three points on the day.

It was double joy for the yellow boys whose junior side had earlier run riot and walloped Police FC counterparts 6-1 in the FUFA Junior League.

The win ensured KCCA FC are 6th on 16 points whereas Police are only five points and second from bottom of the 16 team log.

In other games, youngster Derrick Ndahiro was the savior of the day as SC Villa beat Bright Stars one-nil in another StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter.

In Bugembe, BUL maintained the pressure on leaders Vipers SC when they beat home side Mbarara City three-ni to move to just three points off the table leaders.
