The most credible opposition candidate in the country is Mugisha Muntu- Mirundi

Presidential advisor on media issues and seasoned political commentator, Joseph Tamale Mirundi has said that Opposition Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) co-founder, Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu is the most credible candidate in case opposition decided to choose a coalition candidate to compete with President Museveni.

Mirundi was speaking during his one on one show on NBS TV. Commenting about the unity of opposition parties, Mirundi said that Bobi Wine and Besigye as a coalition can never yield anything. He instead advised that Bobi Wine would be more comfortable with Muntu.

Mirundi said that despite Bobi Wine being the most popular, he does not have the material to lead the country. He urged that the singer can channel all his supporters to someone more credible- Muntu.

“Bobi Wine is like flash floods, they come and go. If the youth want him, can he transfer them to someone else? The problem though is that both Bobi Wine and Muntu are new (but they would make the best coalition),” Mirundi opined.

“I am a political strategist myself, but if you come to my home and tell me to help you tarnish Mugisha Muntu’s name, how do I start. He has been in walk t work and no one will tear gas him, you know why? Because he is a respected general. Muntu does not have any businesses like the rest.”
