Kenzo’s fan petitions Supreme Mufti to force Muzaata to apologise

A man claiming to be a fan to singer Edirisa Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo has written to the Supreme Mufti asking him to force the Kibuli sect spokesperson, Sheikh Nuuhu Muzaata apologise to the singer.

While speaking at Rema Namakula’s private visit(Kukyala) function a few weeks ago, Muzaata allegedly accused Kenzo of being gay and that he asked him to go marry his dead mother, a gesture that displeased the ‘Sitya Loss’’ singer.

In a letter dated October 16, a man identifying himself as Shafiq describes himself as a representative of the Kenzo supporters and wants the Supreme Mufti Sheikh Kasule Ndirangwa to force Muzaata to retract his statement publically

“The words used by Sheikh Muzaata falsely implicates youths as gay people who by character wear earrings and by Muzaata asking Kenzo to marry his late mother disrespects the values of Buganda culture and the greatest insult to humanity ever experienced,”Shafiq writes.

Kenzo’s fan also notes that the Kibuli Muslim sect spokesperson has on many occasions ridiculed members of the public, a thing he says if not stopped would have an impact on the image of the country at large.

“Muzaata’s decision to undermine personalities like Eddy Kenzo has far-reaching consequences of inciting violence as already seen by the different fans reacting by staging peaceful demonstrations and police should pick interest in the matter.”

Kenzo’s fan says it is high time the Supreme Mufti reigned in on the Kibuli Muslim sect spokesperson whose words he says paid a bad picture for the sect.

“As leaders, you should not be party to such by keeping silent when one of your own is throwing insults at people. This misuse of leadership should be condemned highly.”

The letter has also been copied to the Inter-religious council, Sheikh Muzaata, Sheikh Shaban Mubajje, the Mufti of Uganda and police.

Since rumours about the love affair between Rema Namakula and his new lover Hamza Ssebunya started circulating, it has not been rosy for Kenzo who has been mocked by many for ignoring her, prompting Rema to hook a new catch.

A few weeks ago, social media was awash with photos of Rema with her new lover as the two held a private visit (kukyala) to Namakula’s parents, a gesture that displeased Kenzo.

On Tuesday, Kenzo claimed some people in government that he termed as mafia are behind his woes.

“These people want to kill me so we can reach 2021 when I can’t say anything. They pay for my music not to be played. They have also bought some people to abuse me for nothing,”Kenzo said in a live facebook chat.

“They were given money to pretend to be relatives to her(Rema) husband to frustrate me and later poison me so it can be reported that I committed suicide. They want to poison me.”

Following a successful private visit(kukyala) to Rema Namkula’s parents two weeks ago, Hamza Ssebunya is to be introduced on November 14, 2019 at Rema’s parents’ home somewhere in Masaka.
