House of Prayer Ministries lead Pastor, Aloysius Bugingo has been quizzed by Minister of Youth affairs, Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi over allegations of child neglect.

Bugingo, whose family woes continue to be a topic of discussion in the public corridors was pinned by his wife Teddy Naluswa on neglecting his children.

The couple has four children but Naluswa accuses Bugingo of neglecting his duties.

She says that Bugingo refused to pay school fees for their two children with one being a finalist in the United Kingdom while the other is at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Nakawa.

While meeting with Nakiwala, Bugingo rubbished the accusations and said that he pays for all the utilities at home despite the differences between them.

"I pay Shs 200,000 to cater for the fuel of the car that is supposed to take the child to school. I also give my wife another Shs. 200,000 through the church mediator," he said in part.

Bugingo said that the wife has continued to deny him access to his children and asked Nakiwala to use the law and enable him to meet his child.

" I would want the law to make it possible for me to see my boy child. You know what it means to have one boy child among three girls. My wife knows that it hurts me if I take long without seeing him and now she uses that as a tool."

Bugingo also asked Nakiwala to order the wife to stop publicising their family issues in the media.

He said that they have exemplary family and it's hurting to see that the wife is always running to the media.

Nakiwala said that they will work on Bugingo's request but asked him to make sure that the children are not affected by their woes.

"If you want to be with the child, we shall make arrangements for that but children should not be used as a tool in your differences," Nakiwala told Bugingo.

Nakiwala also expressed her disappointment in Naluswa who failed to appear for the meeting despite being invited.

In her defence however, Naluswa said that she told them to allow her first get feedback from the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga where she had reported.

Naluswa said that Bugingo confiscated every entity that made money for the family and she is now short of funds to meet the needs of their children.

"I told Nakiwala to postpone the meeting as I wait for feedback from Kadaga. I had taken this matter to her and she said that I should wait.

Naluswa claims that she has not received any money from Bugingo in the recent times and the children have not yet received fees like the pastor claims.

On the issue of hiding the children, Naluswa says that Bugingo knows where to find them if he needs them since he decided to leave their matrimonial home where all the children are.
