Traffic Police Officer wins 24th Pepsi Tukonectinge car
Bosco Onek, a traffic Police officer attached to Kireka police station was the 24th winner of a Toyota Wish in the ongoing Pepsi Tukonectinge promotion by Crown Beverage Company Limited.
Onek was handed his vehicle on Thursday afternoon at a function held in Kireka amidst cheers from fellow traffic police officers.
“I used to listen to their (Pepsi) adverts on radio and I decided to try out my luck by taking soda every lunchtime. I did it for two consecutive weeks as I sent codes,”Onek said.
The traffic police officer said he could not believe it when he received a call from the company officials telling him he had been entered into the live TV draw.
“I thought it was the usual Kampala conmen and I didn’t take it seriously. It was not until I was called several times that I believed it ,” he noted.
It was a moment of happiness when he was handed the keys for his brand new Toyota Wish car on Thursday afternoon.
Onek was the 24th winner and the last car will be won by a customer who has sent the highest number of messages during the Tukonectinge promotion.
Crown Beverages Limited under their flagship soft drink, Pepsi in April launched a new promotion dubbed ‘Tuconectinge’ in which they said they had sunk a whooping shs4 billion.
The four-month campaign targeting Easter, Idd, and martyrs day celebrations will reward 24 loyal customers with fully-paid trips to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, 25 Toyota Wish cars and 24 fridges among other prizes.
So far, over shs500 million has been rewarded to customers in mobile money and airtime, 21 cars given out to customers from Lira, Kole, Kyenjojo, Rukungiri, Mbarara, Mubende, Jinja, Busia, Aleptong, Ibanda, Rubaga, Namugongo, and Masaka.
