Man commits suicide after girlfriend gets engaged in Kampala while he takes weeks' holiday in USA

Former guild presidential aspirant at Kyambogo University, Able Anthony Ayinza topped the headlines in Massachusetts, United States of America after police in Watertown found his life less body at the state cemetery, Monday afternoon.

According to reports in USA, Ayinza who contested for the Kyambogo guild presidential seat in the academic year 2013-2014 left Uganda in June this year and has for the past few weeks lived in US State of Massachusetts where his father identified as Pastor Samuel Mutyaba presides over a church known as New Life International Christian Centre.

The state police said in a statement that it was notified by a woman who saw "what looked like a body of a man at the cemetery" which prompted reports of a possible suicide.

Members in his father's church told the USA media that Ayinza had been heart broken after his girlfriend got engaged to another man barely a few weeks when he had just left Uganda for a short holiday in the United States.

Further sources who preferred anonymity also alleged that the woman in question was also a United States citizen who left the country recently on grounds of checking on her family only to re surface in an engagement with another lover.

" The woman is said to be a US citizen as well. She returned to Uganda recently to visit her family but the fact is that she had planned to get married to her other lover. This left him (Ayinza) really reeling." - A source told USA media.

The woman in question remains unidentified although a photo alleged to have been got from the now deceased Ayinza's phone shows her face in a 'gomesi' sitting next to the jilted lover. This is believed to have been taken on their engagement which left the pastors son heart broken prompting him to end his promising life.
