Western region FUFA delegate former referee Ssendyowa passes on

Western region and FUFA zone six chairperson, Abbas Ssendyowa has died.

Ssendyowa succumbed to liver complications Tuesday at Mbarara regional referral hospital where he had been admitted.

Ssendyowa, a retired referee has also served as the chairperson of the federation standing committee on refereeing. By the time of his death, the deceased was a CAF referee assessor and instructor.

He has served as match commissioner in the different games including the most recent Uganda vs France during the friendship week in match.

In April last year, Abbas Ssendyowa was voted unopposed as delegate to FUFA Western Regional Assembly.

Ssendyowa will be buried Tuesday at his ancestral home in Mbarara.
