Police of Nwoya district have kicked off investigations into an incident in which a bus bust into flames at Latoro along Pakwach Karuma highway.
This bus belonging to Nile Star bus company registration number UBF 003Y was heading to Kampala from Aria city in West Nile region.
According to Aswa regional police, all the
passengers aboard were safely evacuated but the bus got burnt into ashes with properties of passengers worth millions of shillings.
“The Nwoya territorial traffic police have instituted an inquiry into the incident to ascertain the probable cause,” said police.
It is suspected that it developed a mechanical problem which sparked off the fire.
